For more than 35 years, Southside Johnny /aka John Lyon/, has delivered a soul-searing brand of raucous blues and R&B that has made he and his Juke's a seminal force as All-American rock n' roll song-slingers. Now, the affable new Jersey rock icon is setting his sights on a long-desired project that will deliver an intimate, acoustically-mined live stage throwdown billed as Southside Johnny and The Poor Fools.

Backed by Juke's musicians John Conte/bass,Tommy Byrnes/guitar, longtime Juke's collaborator Jeff Kazee/organ and percussion, and premier Springsteen violinist/fiddle player Soozie Tyrell, The Poor Fools' project looms as a stripped-down up-close-and-personal musical joyfest. Johnny is also quick to point out the ebullient singer will be sharing frontman duties as well getting everyone out of their comfort zone" - rotating singing, instrumentation, and percussion roles among fellow-Fools, and even strapping on a guitar himself, for the first time in decades.

RUSTED ROOT w/ Rebecca Pidgeon opening

Fri, May 11, 2012, SHOW STARTS 7:30pm

Presented by TFM & M.E. Productions

Tickets Start at $35 / ON SALE NOW!

Multi-instrumentalist group Rusted Root integrate the Grateful Dead's jam-heavy rock with percussion influences based on the music of Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America. The six-piece formed in Pittsburgh in 1990 with a sound that defied categorization and catapulted them to instant success and critical acclaim.

They have sold more than 3 million albums worldwide, including the 1994 platinum selling breakthrough When I Woke, which featured the hit songs Send Me On My Way, Ecstasy and Martyr. Not long after, the band scored on tours with Toad the Wet Sprocket, Santana, The Grateful Dead, Dave Matthews Band, The Allman Brothers Band, HORDE Festival and, perhaps most notably, the highly coveted support role on the landmark Jimmy Page/Robert Plant reunion tour.At the height of the Album's popularity, the band was part of a scene of earnest peaceniks that ushered in a mid-'90s era of neo-hippie jam bands.

The current release -Stereo Rodeo- is filled styles varying from energetic dance euphoria to the powerful epic sound of Weary Bones. The new release has attracted a new generation of fans that are as rabid for the Rusted Root live experience as the diehards. Set to release a new record this May, the best is yet to come.

REBECCA PIDGEON:

She's been recording albums for more than 20 years, but Rebecca Pidgeon had a creative breakthrough as she began working on the music for Slingshot," her compelling sixth solo effort. I reached a point where I had to really make a 100% commitment to it, instead of saying this is something I do that's not acting," says Pidgeon."I had to own it." Pidgeon does, indeed, own it" on Slingshot," an intoxicatingly adult pop album that explores the arc of love from desire to longing to despair.

The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts graduate continues to juggle her musical efforts with her extremely successful acting career. She recently appeared in the film Red," alongside Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman. Up next is an HBO film about record producer Phil Spector and his recent murder trial. Pidgeon stars with Al Pacino and Helen Mirren in the film directed and written by Mamet. And she, of course, is the voice of The Pear" in the hugely successful webisodes, Home Grown."

Nuanced and assuredRebecca Pidgeon is one of those rare singers who conveys emotion purely"

Come and help raise a roof" and brighten the future of some eager and ambitious Honduran youth!

Honduras Hope, The Common Man Family of Restaurants, and CEVER Vocational School in Yoro, Honduras, have partnered together to build and operate a *School for Hospitality *on the CEVER campus in Yoro. The *School for Hospitality* is specifically designed to develop and train young Honduran entrepreneurs in the areas of cooking, hospitality and management skills. This education will enable them to obtain the coveted high paying jobs, that until now, were so far out of their reach, in the local Honduran Island Tourist Industry. Construction of the school is nearing an end and would be on schedule for opening in February 2013 if not for the lack of sufficient funds to complete the roof, which is estimated to be $20,000.

Along with music, there will be a silent auction of arts and crafts from local NH artisans. You can help to raise the money by donating art or crafts made by local artists, promoting the event, and joining us all for an evening of dancing and fun!

The Wicked Smart Horn Band is a North Country NH musical institution made up of a diverse group of local players and singers who have been entertaining crowds with their own particular style of soulful and energetic music for more than 15 years. The band is widely known for its wonderful, high-energy show which is an enjoyable mix of rhythm and blues, swing, and rock.

Since playing their first show at the Peabody Base Lodge at Cannon Mountain, the Wicked Smart Horn Band has opened for the Oak Ridge Boys, performed at gubernatorial inaugurations and recorded four albums. Last year the band celebrated their 15th anniversary with a performance at the Dutch Treat in Franconia. It was a typical high energy show played before a packed house. With an infusion of new talent and a commitment to the band's proven formula of horns and harmonies, some say they could last another 15 years or longer.

Opening the night will be New England Songsmith Jay Psaros. He has been quickly recognized by WERS 88.9 FM as an Artist on the Verge" with his rootsy acoustic picking and alternative rock jamming. Whether it be a solo live performance or in the studio, his interwoven melodies and picking patterns distinguish his sound from the rest.

LEO KOTTKE

Fri, June 1, 2012, SHOW STARTS 7:30pm

Presented by TFM & M.E. Productions

Tickets start at $35 / On Sale Now!

Leo Kottke draws on not just folk, but also blues and jazz music in his original, finger-picking acoustic style on both six and twelve-string guitars. He entertains his audiences with his musical virtuoso and incredible humor.

Solo acoustic guitarist Leo Kottke is a walking contradiction. In conversation he is slow talking, thoughtful almost to distraction. Yet when he picks up a steel-stringed guitar, his fingers race across the strings with uncommon speed, developing a deep, churning groove that can at times sound like several people playing at once. He seems to play guitar at 78 rpm, yet he speaks at 33. Now 65 years young, Leo Kottke has recorded over 30 albums that showcase his barnstorming fretwork and quirky songwriting. He is truly a master of the guitar whose playing has influenced generations of musicians and listeners, and he still tours the country relentlessly, playing his 6 and 12-stringed guitars for appreciative audiences ranging from New England to Southern California, from Brisbane to Berlin.

Kottke has also built a jam-band type following having collaborated with Phish's Mike Gordon for some albums & tours. His fan faves include June Bug", Pamela Brown", Julie's House", Pepe Hush" and Jack Gets Up".

After four decades of recording and touring, Kottke has earned a legendary status in the music world. Most anyone who has played an acoustic guitar has heard of him. He may never have a #1 hit on commercial radio, but millions of people world-wide have bought Kottke's records and, as one critic remarked, think he's the cats pajamas."

DAVID BROMBERG w/ Occidental Gypsy opening

Fri, June 15, 2012, SHOW STARTS 7:30pm

Presented by TFM & M.E. Productions

Tickets start @ $35 / On Sale Now!

A singular performer/writer/arranger, David Bromberg's remarkable musical versatility and innovative resourcefulness have earned vast critical and popular acclaim. He is also impossible to classify. As one critic perceptively wrote, He is part of everything contemporarily musical a product of blues, country, jazz, folk, and classical music. From his early success as a guitar virtuoso, Mr. Bromberg has developed into a brilliant entertainer."

Concerts by David and his various bands are extraordinary events and his live show remains as unique as ever. Don't be surprised to see him strumming an acoustic guitar, playing the fiddle, picking at a mandolin, or rocking out on an electric.

Join us for this eclectic musical journey through several uniquely American music forms.

OCCIDENTAL GYPSY

Occidental Gypsy is pioneering the sound of Gypsy Pop. Their combination of uptempo, high-energy rhythms of Gypsy music, melded with the catchy hooks of Pop music delivers a thrilling experience to listeners. In many ways the heart of Gypsy Pop embodies the essence and spirit of what jazz was in its infancy: developing, improvising, and arranging, with contemporary music as a foundation. Occidental Gypsy was originally formed by brothers Brett Feldman (lead guitar) and Jeff Feldman (bassist). The group is fronted by Berklee-trained singer and rhythm guitarist Scottie Kulman, and supported by two Berklee students - violinist Jakub Trasak, from the Czech Republic, and percussionist Francisco Vielma, from Venezuela.

Live, the band compliments original material with expertly arranged gypsified covers. Occidental Gypsy's unique approach to pop, jazz, and dance music stems from the influence of Gypsy Swing founders, Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli. The members of the group posses a deep knowledge and reverence for the Gypsy style and feel honored to bring their music to the ears of new audiences. The name Occidental Gypsy (Western gypsy) embodies the concept behind Gypsy Pop. The group has taken the Gypsy sound that originated in Eastern Europe and brought it 'Over Here' to blend it seamlessly with contemporary American music. Interestingly, Gypsy Swing was created by taking American Jazz to the East and blending it with the Gypsy Folk tradition. Now almost a century later Occidental Gypsy is bringing the music back home.

10,000 MANIACS

Sun, June 17, 2012, SHOW STARTS 7:30pm

Presented by TFM & M.E. Productions

Tickets start at $39 / On Sale Now!

Widely considered one of the original indie" bands and a pioneer of the alternative rock genre, 10,000 Maniacs vaulted lead singer Natalie Merchant to stardom. Their MTV Unplugged album, released in 1993, went 3x Platinum.

Together with artists like R.E.M., they defined college rock and created the first wave of alternative rock bands and what became know as the alternative rock format on FM radio.

Writing and performing powerful, danceable, and socially conscious original material in and around their hometown of Jamestown, New York, the group toured extensively through the early 90s and produced two independently released records.

1993 began with the Maniacs memorable performance at Bill Clinton's MTV Inaugural Ball where host Dennis Miller famously referred to them as Chelsea Clinton's favorite band."

MTV Unplugged was released in October '93 (a few months after Merchant's departure), featuring a remake of the classic "Because the Night." The record sold 4 million copies.

The new lineup with Mary Ramsey released Love Among the Ruins, featuring a cover of Roxy Music's "More Than This," which went to #24 on the Billboard charts, the highest-charting single in the band's history.

The Chicago Tribune noted- "If the 11 new singles rolled out are any indication of things to come, the new incarnation of 10,000 Maniacs may eclipse the old."

Chicago Sun Times simply said- Natalie Who?"

The band is currently writing and recording new material after an an extensive tour to celebrate their 30th anniversary in 2011, and having found their stride again is gearing up for their 2012 tour.

ROYAL SOUTHERN BROTHERHOOD featuring Cyril Neville, Devon Allman, & Mike Zito

Sat, June 23, 2012

SHOW STARTS 7:30pm

Presented by TFM & M.E. Productions:

Tickets start @ $25

If you like your blues rock with a funky New Orleans backbeat. This is the show for you. This band features the twin guitars of Devon Allman and Mike Zito with the funky groove of Cyril Neville and a red hot rhythm section. With a bloodline and music lineage that flows from Professor Long Hair to Muddy Waters, Mississippi Fred McDowell to Government Mule, Allman's southern JAM ROCK to the Neville Brother's SOUTHERN SOUL music, the ROYAL SOUTHERN BROTHERHOOD keeps a long musical tradition burning bright.

This lineup has talent to burn. You'll already know Cyril Neville: poet, philosopher, percussion master and perhaps the South's last great soul singer. At 63, this is the latest chapter in a career that began with 1970's debut solo single, Gossip, and his touchdown in the lineup of older brother Art's funk outfit, The Meters. Post-Meters, he's been key to the rise of The Neville Brothers, created alchemy with Bob Dylan, Bono and Willie Nelson, toured with funk act Galactic, & led his solo band Tribe 13;

Likewise Devon Allman. As the son of Gregg Allman, he 36-year-old has rock n' roll in his DNA, but he's always walked his own path. In 1999, he hit the radar as leader of Honeytribe, whose fearless albums announced him as a next-generation guitar hero, and when Devon takes the stage either with Honeytribe or during cameos with his father and the Allmans fans are wowed by a guitarist who can be smooth, savage or seismic, but it's in R.S.B. that you'll hear this modern master playing at full-throttle.

Not many guitarists could stand toe-to-toe with him. Step up Mike Zito: the blues ace whose ear for melody provides the counterpoint to his wingman's rocking tendencies. Nominated in 2011 for the Blues Music Foundation's Best Blues Rock' award, and winner of 2010's Blues Music Award for Song Of The Year'.

But like Cyril says, it's all about making a good gumbo", and that's where God's own rhythm section comes in. Giving R.S.B. its hip-shaking groove are bassist Charlie Wooton and drummer Yonrico Scott: both heavyweight names in their own right.

They say that rock n' roll is dead, but they're wrong. There's something in the air, Today, as Royal Southern Brotherhood propels their thrilling new brand of blues-rock and white-hot musicianship from the Southern States onto the world stage. The South is rising again. Come along for the ride.

HOT TUNA acoustic

Fri, July 6, 2012, SHOW STARTS 7:30pm

Presented by TFM & M.E. Productions:

Tickets start at $35 / On Sale Now!

Rock N Roll Hall of Fame alumnus, Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady have been performing together for the past 50 years. After creating the soundtrack of the 60s originating from Jefferson Airplane, the duo formed the iconic blues-roots band Hot Tuna.

In the mid 1960s, Jorma was asked to audition to play guitar for a new band that was forming in San Francisco. Though an acoustic player at heart, he grew interested in the electronic gadgetry that was beginning to make an appearance in the popular music scene -- particularly in a primitive processor brought to the audition by a fellow named Ken Kesey -- and decided to join that band; soon thereafter he summoned his young friend from Washington, who now played the bass.

Thus was created the unique (then and now) sound that was The Jefferson Airplane. Jorma even contributed the band's name, drawn from a nickname a friend had for the blues-playing Jorma. Jack's experience as a lead guitarist led to a style of bass playing which took the instrument far beyond its traditional role.

While in The Jefferson Airplane, putting together the soundtrack of the 60s, the pair remained loyal to the blues, jazz, bluegrass, and folk influences of the small clubs and larger venues they had learned from years before. While in San Francisco and even in hotel rooms on the road, they would play together and worked up a set of songs that they would often play at clubs in the Bay Area and while on the road, often after having played a set with the Airplane.

After two decades of acoustic and electric concerts and albums, the 1990s brought a new focus on acoustic music to Hot Tuna. More intimate venues with a more individual connection to the audience became increasingly frequent stops. Soon, the loud electric sound (and the semi trailer load of equipment) disappeared entirely from Hot Tuna tours.

Marc Cohn

Fri, July 27, 2012, SHOW STARTS 7:30pm

Presented by TFM & M.E. Productions

Tickets start @ $35 / On Sale Soon

Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter Marc Cohn has been obsessed with pop music for as long as he can remember: I was hooked from day one. My older brother had a band that rehearsed in our basement, so I heard Bacharach, The Beatles, Ray Charles, and Motown coming up through the floorboards from the time I was six years old. By the time I was eleven though, the Beatles were breaking up and singer-songwriters were breaking through, and a lot of that music really resonated for me"

As a songwriter and singer, Cohn combines the precision of a brilliant tunesmith with the passion of a great soul man. He's a natural storyteller, balancing the exuberant with the poignant, and able to distill universal truth out of his often romantic, drawn-from-life tales. He similarly finds the emotional essence in the vintage songs he's just recorded, even as he brilliantly reshapes his source material. Cohn's own career took off at the turn of another decade, in 1990, with the recording of his critically acclaimed, self-titled debut disc, which yielded such classics in their own right as Walking In Memphis," Silver Thunderbird," and the lovely True Companion."
