SUMMARY:ROOTS OF CREATION: GRATEFUL DUB
DESCRIPTION:\nwith support act PAUL WOLSTENCROFT (of Slightly Stoopid)\n\n \n\nDOORS: 6:00PM     SHOW: 7:30     AGES: 13+\n\n \nRoC (Roots of Creation) has taken on a unique new project: Grateful Dub: a Reggae-infused tribute to the Jerry Garcia & The Grateful Dead. Combining their longtime love for Reggae-Dub style music and the Grateful Dead, RoC reworked some of the world’s favorite Dead tunes into a new studio album. RoC had the pleasure of working in the studio with the legendary 5-time Grammy winner Errol Brown who was Bob Marley’s sound engineer for this project. Grateful Dub is also being performed live in its entirety at festivals, theatres, and clubs around the country, and features rotating live special guests that has included Melvin Seals (Jerry Garcia Band), Scott Guberman (Phil Lesh), Zach Nugent, RyMo, AG, & Paul W. (Slightly Stoopid), G. Love (G. Love & Special Sauce), Mihali (Twiddle), Dan Kelly (Fortunate Youth) and others. Grateful Dub captures the spirit and magic of the Grateful Dead, while laying it down Reggae-Dub style.\n\n \nThe Album: Grateful Dub: a Reggae infused tribute to The Grateful Dead debuted at #1 on the Reggae Billboard charts and features guest performances by Stephen Marley, G. Love, Melvin Seals (Jerry Garcia Band), Marlon “Ganja Farmer” Asher, Hayley Jane, Andy “AG” Geib (Slightly Stoopid), Dan Kelly (Fortunate Youth), Billy Kottage (Reel Big Fish / The Interupters live bands), Jesse Wagner (The Aggrolites), Alex Brander (Big D & the Kids Table), & More!\n\n \nAll songs on the LP were engineered & mixed by legendary 6-time GRAMMY winner – Errol Brown (Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Rebelution) with Brendan Connors at studio.metronome in Brookline, NH. Additional mixing & pre-mastering by Pete “Boardz” Peloquin (Gov’t Mule, O.A.R, Allman Brothers). The album was mastered by 6- time GRAMMY-winner and 10-time GRAMMY-nominated mastering engineer Chris Gehringer (Chainsmokers, Rebelution, Rihanna) at Sterling Sound in NYC.\n\n \nPAUL WOLSTENCROFT (of Slightly Stoopid)\nPaul is a touring musician, recording artist, and children’s music producer just outside of Boston Ma. After touring for several years with guitar legend Melvin Sparks, Paul formed his own Organ Trio – Organically Good Trio. Much of his early playing was emulating the organ greats of the 60’s like Jimmy Mcgriff and Jack McDuff, but his love of vintage reggae music led him to also be influenced by the sound of Jamaican organ great Jackie Mittoo. In Organically Good Trio Paul plays a Hammond A-100 through a Leslie 145. Since 2009 Paul has been touring with the popular American Reggae Band Slightly Stoopid, out of San Diego. As well as selling out venues across the country, and gaining an impressive worldwide following, Stoopid has toured with such acts as Snoop Dogg, Cypress Hill, Stephen Marley, Sublime. With Slightly Stoopid Paul plays a Hammond XK5 through a Leslie 145. As a composer Paul’s original music has been featured feature films, television shows, and national TV and radio commercials. Currently Paul also writes and produces children’s music and books for Dub Town Rockers\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n \nPresented by The Flying Monkey\n \n\nADDRESS\n39 Main St\nPlymouth, NH 03264\nEVENT INFORMATION\nPhone: 603-536-2551\nTICKET INFORMATION\nPhone: 603-536-2551\n
