Seventh annual collaboration with the Plymouth Parks & Recreation Children's Theater and Trish Lindberg as they perform “Peace Child”.

Peace Child is an exciting musical collaboration for children ages 8-14, between Plymouth State University and Plymouth Parks and Recreation in collaboration with The Flying Monkey Movie House and Performance Center. PSU Professor and Director, Trish Lindberg, Professor of School Psychology, Cynthia Waltman, Professor of Social Work, Kristina Lind, Professor of School Counselling, Robin Hausheer, Professor of Art Education, Timm Judas, NH Composer William Ogmundson, NYC Choreographer, Darren Biggart, NH Artist and Educator, Stacey Lucas, and ETC/TIGER Manager, Pam Irish, will be working with the camp participants on acting, singing, dancing, art making and social skills. In addition, PSU graduate and undergraduate students will serve as assistants and mentors to the young people.

This is a unique opportunity to be a part of an original musical production directed by ETC Artistic Director Trish Lindberg with musical direction by ETC Musical Director Will Ogmundson and choreography by Darren Biggart, TIGER Choreographer and Co-Choreographer of ETC’s Shrek. Trish Lindberg wrote the script and lyrics for Peace Child, and Will Ogmundson wrote the music.

This is such a wonderful event...the culmination of a week-long children's theater and arts camp held right here at The Flying Monkey.  Don't miss seeing the artwork generated by the children and seeing this diverse and exciting cast perform on the Big Stage in Plymouth on Friday, June 29 at 7pm!

Special Thanks to Alex Ray of the Common Man Family of Restaurants, and Cynthia Waltman of Plymouth State University, for their sharing of resources and their belief in this project.
